Another topic that we don’t often wish to talk about, but religious issues aside, I’d hasten to suggest the most common reason most of us aren’t on the Organ Donation list is apathy.
We all know that the waiting list for healthy organs is significantly longer than those donated and if like me, your reason is just apathy or not knowing exactly what you need to do, then please take a look at the attached official website (http://www.donatelife.gov.au/) and put your name on the list if you feel so inclined.
Of course if this makes you feel uncomfortable then by all means that’s fine, but if it’s just apathy, come on it will only take 5 minutes and each donor can save 10 lives or more.
Pity the poor person who gets something of mine!
